Shaun Terence Young was a British film director and screenwriter best known for directing three James Bond films, including the first two films in the series, Dr. No and From Russia with Love, as well as Thunderball.

About Terence Young
Writer and director best known for directing the James Bond films Dr. No, From Russia With Love, and Thunderball. He also directed a number of films starring action hero Charles Bronson.
He operated tanks as a member of the Irish Guards during World War II.
He almost died following a helicopter crash during the filming of 1963’s From Russia With Love.
He was married to author Dorothea Bennett up until his death.
He directed the original Bond, Sean Connery, for the first three James Bond films.
