Lewis Shepard Stone was an American movie actor best known for his role as Judge James Hardy in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s Andy Hardy film series. He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor in 1929 for The Patriot. He appeared in seven films with Greta Garbo.
