Cecil James McNeely, known as Big Jay McNeely, is an American rhythm and blues saxophonist.

About Big Jay McNeely
R&B Hall of Famer known for his raucous stage antics and helped popularize “honking.” He has made many appearances at the International Boogie Woogie Festival.
He made his first recordings with his brother and with drummer Johnny Otis.
He quit the music industry in 1971 to become a postman.
His older brother Robert played baritone saxophone.
He and saxophonist Dave Koz are both from California.
